Outcomes	• The students should know how seismic data are acquired, processed and analyzed. • Understand the key steps in seismic processing, and know how the final processed data are used in exploring the earth's subsurface • Understand the basic theory and principles of seismic data acquisition, and how to assess critical acquisition parameters. • Understand how to derive and apply basic equations that are used in acquisition and processing of seismic data. • Understand how to perform a simple seismic processing of seismic field data. Fundamental procedures for how to mitigate environmental impact of data acquisition should be known. • Understand the basic principles used in seismic imaging, and realize similarities and differences to for instance medical imaging techniques.
Requirements	This course is meant for Diploma holders, Graduates, Post graduates and Engineers. The candidate must possess an understanding of basic structural geology and geophysical principles. The candidate must possess the willingness to learn.
